Cucalorus Experience

Fist off, I know I'm a day late on this post and I'm sorry! Anyways, Cucalorus was amazing.  This was my first year and I had the peg pass. Unfortunately I didn't go to as many viewings as I had originally hoped to because I had a boat-load of school stuff to do. As of the ones I did get to see, Mr. Roosevelt, Knife Skills, and What Lies Upstream, What Lies Upstream was probably my favorite.  It was a documentary about the clean water crisis in the US and it was very educational.  Unfortunately, I thought they were going to discuss the water crisis in Wilmington, but they did not.  I also went to a uctail event and the Blind Elephant downtown and saw Dan there. I asked Dan how his day was going and he told me about his morning poop. Overall, it was a good experience but I am hoping to have much more active experiences in future Cucalorus'.

Cucalorus Expectations

So Cucalorus starts Wednesday and I’m not so sure I’ve prepared myself.   The festival crept up on me pretty fast but that’s okay, it gives me a good reason to get away from all the school madness!   I’m very excited and a bit anxious for Cucalorus but I’m pretty sure it’s a good anxious.   I bought the “Peg pass” which gets me into all the events so I am hoping to attend as many blocks as possible and see as many films as possible.   I also am hoping to meet a lot of people with common goals and exchange information.   Although I do not know the chances of this happening, I am also hoping to meet Wilmington locals in the film community that I can reach out to because I would like to get more involved within the community.   By meeting local film lovers, I am hoping to be more aware of what is happing in my own town within the film community that way I can better see where I will fit best.   When I arrive, the first thing I am goi...
